It is a common challenge for me and developer-centric websites: users often assume that because the code is open source, everything else (branding, photos, guides) is “up for grabs” too.
This is NOT the case, and you are implored to read and heed the legal notices below, very carefully, so that you avoid any troubles and embarrassment.
1. Website Content (Strict Copyright)
Unless otherwise noted, all content on https://w0chp.radio & https://wpsd.radio–including but
not limited to articles, blog posts, technical documentation, photography,
graphics, logos, and site design—is the exclusive property of Chip Cuccio
(W0CHP) and is protected by United States and international copyright laws.
You may NOT:
- Republish full articles, guides, or posts on other websites, forums, or print media without express written permission.
- Use images, photos, or screenshots from this website on commercial listings (e.g., eBay, Amazon, AliExpress) or third-party project/informational sites.
- “Hotlink” images directly from my servers.
2. The WPSD Project (Software License)
The WPSD Project software itself is Open Source. It is strictly distinct from this website content. The software source code is licensed under its respective open-source license (i.e., GNU GPL).
- You are free to use, modify, and distribute the software source code according to the terms of that license.
- The open-source license for the code does not grant you rights to use
W0CHPbranding, website copy, personal photography, imagery, or the WPSD logo in ways that violate Section 1.
3. Permissions & Inquiries
If you wish to use an image or excerpt from this website for a YouTube video,
club presentation, or article, etc. please request permission first. I generally
grant permission for educational and non-commercial community use if credit is
given, but you must ask first.
